That Scheme's Got Potential

These are some of the color schemes I think I'd like to work with.  I like the top and the bottom one the best, but it may differ when I get my hands a little more dirty in the constructing process.

CONNECT FOUR!

My first thought when thinking of the concept of connection goes to the board game Connect Four! with the checkers that are dropped into a grid.  The idea of creating a unified set of chips dropped into a sequence is one way of creating a connection.  The pieces that win the game are configured into a sequence of at least four in the same color.  A family of sorts.  Connection also makes me think of friends or family, such as a personal connection.  A family of black or red chips and a family of people, they both have a similar, but unique connection.

Just a Tid-Bit

At Comikaze this weekend, I happen to come a crossed the Star Wars Oragami Book and thought I'd share.  This is also how I help myself to remember things, is to pass on my finds.  There was a booth doing demos, totally awesome.  BUT not as awesome as the Star Wars pop-up book.

... and these are just a few of my favorite things

Redesign of a series of book covers

A whimsical mix of illustration and graphic design

A product package redesign via Adobe Illustrator

Alphabet illustration via Corel Painter and Photoshop

 Photo manipulation w/ Painter

Original B&W photo manipulated w/ Photoshop and Illustrator

 Digital Collage

Series of alphabet illustrations via Painter and Photoshop.

My portfolio is strongly whimsical content, this is just a selection of some of my top picks.  I absolutely love using Corel Painter to create work, but enjoy utilizing Photoshop and Illustrator because they are both amazing programs that I always find something new to learn about.  Not to mention there is a lot less clean up when you get to paint on a computer.
